PRESCHOOLERS (3-5 yrs.) Centers such as dramatic play, reading, blocks, science, and art are utilized to promote group play as well as provide opportunities for more solitary activities. Children learn the finer points of group dynamics such as cooperation, sharing and respect by trial and error with minimal teacher intervention. The child who requires time alone or in a small group may choose the quiet corner¬Ě, reading or art to pursue a more individualized activity. The thematic based curriculum is organized and meaningful enabling our staff to prepare preschoolers for kindergarten. Children develop at different rates and each child is unique in his/her own development, growth and acquisition of skills. Appropriate and reasonable supports and accommodation are provided to enable all children to succeed.
